Job summary

Education World Ltd. is seeking experienced SEMH teachers to specialise in Food Technology in Newcastle and Sunderland. You will deliver engaging, practical lessons, support students with SEMH, and collaborate with staff to create a safe, inclusive classroom.

Applicants should hold QTS and have secondary Food Tech experience; trauma-informed practice and strong behaviour management are essential. The role offers ongoing CPD, supportive teams, and term-time PAYE arrangements.

Qualifications

• Qualified teachers with QTS and secondary Food Technology experience.
• Experience supporting SEMH students with trauma-informed approaches.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons for SEMH pupils.
• Create a safe, supportive classroom environment and promote positive behaviour.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse needs and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCO, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, and set targets with students.
• Engage in CPD, staff meetings, and whole-school activities.
