Job summary

Stephenson Academy is seeking an inspirational Assistant Principal to join the senior leadership team. The role focuses on strategic and operational leadership in a specialist SEMH setting, aiming to secure strong education, behaviour, safeguarding and positive pupil outcomes.

The successful candidate will develop others, build relationships with pupils, families and partners, and drive continuous improvement through evidence and professional judgement.

Qualifications

• Experienced middle or senior leader with a track record of improving provision for pupils with complex SEMH needs.
• Strong commitment to inclusive and relational practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational leadership at Stephenson Academy in collaboration with the Principal and Deputy Principal.
• Drive high-quality education, behaviour and pastoral practice, and safeguarding.
• Develop staff, foster partnerships with families and external partners, and contribute to Trust initiatives.
