Job summary

TeacherActive are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting September in OX15/Banbury. You will support children with SEMH and challenging behaviours, helping them engage with learning.

The role involves assisting teachers with learning, managing behaviours, and building positive relationships with pupils in a supportive school environment. The salary is £100-£130 per day, paid PAYE.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND / SEMH needs.
• Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours.
• Confident working within a classroom environment; strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach with a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with learning activities, behaviour management and pupil engagement throughout the school day.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours to engage with learning.
