Job summary

New Chapters Care and Education in Draycott near Cheddar is seeking an experienced teacher to support learners with autism and other special educational needs at a brand-new site. You will deliver inclusive lessons, tailor learning to individual needs and track progress, working as part of a collaborative team.

You will plan and review personalised learning programmes, provide one-to-one and group tutoring, and contribute to administration and quality assurance activities to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive learning opportunities tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide one-to-one and group teaching and mentoring support.
• Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes and lessons.
• Monitor, assess and track learner progress with accurate records.
• Complete administration and quality assurance activities, including assessment and moderation.
• Support continuous improvement and deputise for the Head of Education if required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive learning opportunities tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide one-to-one and group teaching and mentoring support.
• Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes, schemes of work, lessons and assessments in line with EHCP outcomes and learner targets.
• Monitor, assess and track learner progress, maintain accurate records and attendance data, provide timely feedback and identify additional support needs.
• Complete role-related administration and quality assurance activities, including assessment, moderation and internal verification processes.
• Support the wider education provision by contributing to continuous improvement activities and deputising for the Head of Education if required.
