Job summary

New Chapters Care and Education in Draycott near Cheddar is seeking an experienced teacher to support learners with autism and other special educational needs at a brand-new site. You will deliver inclusive lessons, tailor learning to individual needs and track progress, working as part of a collaborative team.

You will plan and review personalised learning programmes, provide one-to-one and group tutoring, and contribute to administration and quality assurance activities to ensure successful

• Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes and lessons.
• Monitor, assess and track learner progress with accurate records.
• Complete administration and quality assurance activities, including assessment and moderation.
• Support continuous improvement and deputise for the Head of Education if required.

And we are seeking an experienced teacher to provide vital support to our learners at our brand-new education site in Draycott, near Cheddar. Set in the heart of the countryside and with close links to our sister site at a farm on Cheddar, we offer a unique opportunity to enable learners to reach their full potential while benefiting from being out and about in nature.

The role

Working as part of a team, you'll be developing and delivering content to our learners, who have a range of additional support needs, including special educational needs such as learning disabilities, autism, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive learning opportunities tailored to individual learner needs, using a range of teaching strategies to support and stretch learners.
• Provide one-to-one and group teaching and mentoring support to help learners achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
• Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes, schemes of work, lessons and assessments in line with EHCP outcomes, learner aspirations and individual targets.
• Monitor, assess and track learner progress, maintain accurate records and attendance data, provide timely feedback and identify additional support needs.
