Job summary

Uplands Manor Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEMH, SEND and complex needs. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support to help children access learning, build confidence and develop social skills.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, delivering targeted interventions and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing within a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or complex needs in a classroom setting.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training on SEMH and SEND.
• Able to work effectively with pupils, parents and carers.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH, SEND or complex needs in the classroom.
• Deliver targeted interventions and personalised support.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.
