Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified SEMH Teacher for secondary pupils in and around Thrapston. The role is full-time, permanent and long-term with September 2026 or ASAP start. You will deliver subject-specific, differentiated lessons and support pupils with SEMH needs in a calm, nurturing environment.

Applicants should have QTS and a secondary subject specialism, with proven SEMH experience and strong classroom management. Travel to nearby schools is expected in the Thrapston area.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Secondary subject specialism in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, or PE.
• Previous SEMH experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach your subject to secondary pupils.
• Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons.
• Adapt teaching to meet SEMH and behavioural needs.

• Use behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
