Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEMH Outreach Tutor to work with students across Bromley, South London. This part-time role offers 10/15 hours per week and pay of GBP30-GBP35 per hour, outside of a mainstream setting.

You will provide 1:1 tutoring in Maths, English, or Functional Skills, adapt plans to emotional needs, and monitor progress. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential; SEN training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Knowledge of SEN categories (autism, dyslexia, ADHD, speech and language needs).
• Strong communication skills with students, parents and school staff.
• Patience, empathy and adaptability to diverse learning needs.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of different SEN categories (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, speech and language needs).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to a wide range of learning needs.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
• A passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
• A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or relevant SEN training (e.g., SENDCO, SEN TA experience) is desirable but not essential.
