Job summary

The Futures Trust is seeking an experienced SEMH Mentor to join our team. You will work under the Inclusion Manager to ensure students with SEMH needs have access to targeted support, including before/after school activities and academic assistance.

Role involves mentoring individuals and groups, with a focus on safeguarding, professional development within the Trust, and contributing to a positive educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring students or young people.
  • Understanding of SEMH barriers and support strategies.
  • Ability to work under supervision within an Inclusion/Student Services framework.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring, group mentoring and academic support to students in Student Services who experience SEMH barriers to learning.
  • Undertake work before school, at break and after school as appropriate to support access to SEMH services.

Opportunity

We areseekingto appoint an excellent SEMH Mentorto work under the direction of the Inclusion Manager to ensure all students whorequireit have access to SEMH support when they need it. They will undertake specific work before school, at break and after school whereappropriate.Provide one-to-one mentoring, groupmentoringand academic support to students in Student Services who are experiencing a range of SEMH barriers to their learning.

Salary & Benefits

PAS Grade 5 £28,884 - £34,792Full TimeEquivalent

£25,064 - £30,191 Pro Rata

37 hours perweek /39 weeks per annum

Monday – Thursday: 8.00 am – 4.00 pm, Friday: 8.00 am – 3.30 pm
