Job summary

Academics is seeking a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a local primary setting in Southampton, Hampshire. This agency role offers daily supply, contract, and permanent opportunities with pay aligned to MPS/UPS scales depending on experience.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with SEMH needs, and collaborating with schools to meet staffing requirements. DBS update service is preferred or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
• Recent experience working within SEN or SEMH
• An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
• Positive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning

Responsibilities

• Support local schools with short and long-term staffing needs
• Deliver engaging lessons and activities
• Maintain high standards of teaching and learning
• Work across Southampton/Hampshire settings to cover shifts and roles
