Job summary

The Victory Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for its Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) to support SEMH pupils. You will work under the SENCO, aiding individual students and groups, monitoring progress and contributing to high behavioural standards.

A patient, caring approach is essential to help pupils achieve and engage. This role offers development within a supportive, inclusive environment at The Victory Harbour and opportunities to train in SEND-focused strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learning in the classroom (primary or secondary).
• Support with monitoring progress for individuals and groups.
• Patient, caring and compassionate approach to SEND pupils and SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Assist in promoting high standards of behaviour and conduct.
• Be a team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Support colleagues in all aspects of learning, personal development and emotional literacy.
• Work as directed by the SENCO with individual students and groups.
