Job summary

Pink Tile Education is working with a SEMH school in Chichester to recruit a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support boys across upper primary and lower secondary with SEMH needs. The role starts 1st September and requires a full UK driving licence and access to transport.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (term time only). Salary is £100 per day, with a temporary to permanent opportunity via Pink Tile Education.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support/ Classroom Assistant.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Ability to understand behaviour, trauma and emotional regulation.

Responsibilities

• Support boys with SEMH needs across upper primary and lower secondary.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Help students engage with learning and develop classroom confidence.
• Support emotional regulation through positive behaviour strategies.
• De-escalate and manage challenging situations calmly and consistently.
• Encourage independence, resilience and decision-making.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to tailor support.
