We work on behalf of a brilliant special school on the outskirts of Bath that is looking for a full-time SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support in one of their KS2 classes. The school cares for a range of special needs but is primarily focused on SEMH & ASD.

Currently, we have two full-time staff members working at the school, who love their time there and describe it as a supportive environment. The school is very supportive of candidates who wish to develop into more senior roles and will support teaching assistants aiming to start their teacher training.

The role

The school has a vacancy in a KS2 class with 8 SEMH & ASD students. You will work alongside a permanent teaching assistant to support the class teacher with various needs.

You should be proactive, positive, patient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour. Prior experience working with SEMH students in some capacity is preferred, but applications from a range of backgrounds are welcome.
