Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking an UPR Teacher (Primary Behaviour Service) to support children with SEMH needs, help schools adopt inclusive strategies, and model effective teaching across KS2/KS3. The role is based at Robin's Oak, Waterlooville, and involves outreach as well as in-reach support to strengthen school capacity.

You will work with Headteachers, SENCOs and staff, delivering restorative practices and targeted interventions to improve outcomes and transitions for KS3 learners.

Qualifications

• QTS with proven teaching experience in KS2/KS3.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH to achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong understanding of behaviour support strategies and inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to work across primary and secondary settings.
• Passion for improving outcomes for children with the right support.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SEMH behaviour support through outreach, in-reach provision and targeted interventions.
• Consult with Headteachers, SENCOs and school staff on behaviour management and inclusive practice.
• Model high-quality teaching and behaviour support approaches for schools.
• Deliver in-reach teaching and build positive relationships with pupils using nurturing approaches.
• Support shaping KS3 provision and successful transitions between primary and secondary settings.
