Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is seeking a full-time SEMH Practitioner for a specialist setting in March to start ASAP. The role focuses on supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs through structured, nurturing approaches.

You will deliver targeted support in and out of the classroom, adapting tasks to engage learners, reinforce positive behaviours, and foster resilience to help pupils feel secure and motivated to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and emotional support strategies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and resilience in challenging environments.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in education, youth work, or care settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Support learning by adapting tasks, encouraging engagement, and reinforcing positive behaviours.
• Use strategies to manage behaviour, support emotional regulation, and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Build positive relationships to help pupils feel secure, understood, and motivated to learn.
