Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced HLTA to join a supportive SEMH provision in East Suffolk. You will support secondary pupils with SEMH needs, cover lessons, and run targeted interventions to boost engagement and progress.

The role requires HLTA status or substantial TA experience, with a calm, resilient approach and the ability to build positive relationships with young people. You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to ensure continuity of learning.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or significant TA experience in an education setting.
• Experience with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour.
• Calm, resilient, and positive approach; strong relationships with young people.

Responsibilities

• Cover lessons when required to ensure continuity of learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions.
• Support pupils across the curriculum and in their personal development.
• Support engagement, confidence, and progress for SEMH needs.
• Work with teaching staff and the wider support team.
