The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a Health & Social Care Teacher for a specialist SEMH school in Birmingham. This full-time role involves delivering engaging Health & Social Care lessons to small classes and drawing on strong subject knowledge to build confidence and employability.

You will hold QTS or QTLS, have experience with SEMH, Alternative Provision or challenging behaviour, and manage classrooms effectively.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons to small classes.
  • Plan and deliver lessons suited to students with SEMH needs.
  • Make learning practical, relevant and accessible.
  • Develop students' knowledge and understanding of Health & Social Care.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
  • Adapt teaching to different abilities, needs and engagement levels.
  • Manage behaviour calmly and consistently.
  • Encourage students to develop confidence and independence.
  • Support students with their wider personal and educational development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide a consistent approach.
