Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a Secondary SEMH Teacher for a specialist setting in Solihull. You will teach KS3-4, plan engaging lessons, and adapt to meet individual needs, while maintaining a calm, consistent approach to behaviour management.

Experience with SEMH or challenging behaviour is essential; QTS is highly desirable. You will join a supportive team dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to education within a safeguarding-focused environment.

  • Supporting students to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing appropriate feedback.
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider pastoral team.

Job description

Secondary SEMH Teacher required for a specialist school in Solihull. Are you a Secondary Teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour? This is an excellent opportunity for a Secondary SEMH Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting and help students overcome barriers to education.

As a Secondary SEMH Teacher, you will teach students across Key Stage 3 and 4, planning and delivering engaging lessons that are adapted to meet individual needs. The Secondary SEMH Teacher will need a calm and consistent approach to behaviour management, alongside the ability to build positive relationships with students who may have struggled within mainstream education.

Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is essential. QTS is highly desirable, and applications from experienced Secondary Teachers with strong SEMH experience will be considered.
