Deputy Support Lead Manager – Full Time, Permanent
A specialist educational setting in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Support Lead Manager to join its team. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary between £35,235 and £38,626 per annum, aligned with NJC Pay Range 7.
The setting provides transformative education for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The Deputy Support Lead Manager will play a crucial role in delivering a trauma-informed approach and embedding Thrive practices across the provision. The site functions as a short-stay setting for up to 42 learners who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion. In addition to on-site learning, outreach support is also provided to mainstream schools for students facing barriers to inclusion.
The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting students with SEMH and ASC needs, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. They will be proactive, compassionate, and resilient—capable of managing challenging behaviour while fostering positive, trusting relationships with both students and staff. A background in education, youth work, or social care is desirable, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.
