Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH school in Sheffield for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, helping them engage with learning and develop positive behaviours.

The role is full-time and term-time only, with pay of £95-£120 per day depending on experience. You will work alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support in a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Full-time availability for the role

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs inside and outside the classroom
• Help pupils develop positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation
• Build trusting relationships to encourage engagement with learning
• Work with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support
