Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to work in specialist SEMH provisions in Wallsend. You will support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them regulate emotions, improve engagement and build confidence.

The role focuses on 1:1 support, emotional wellbeing, and promoting positive classroom participation, with safeguarding checks and DBS requirements in place. This is a full-time, on-site position in Wallsend.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold the appropriate qualifications and training.
• DBS check is required and the role involves safeguarding duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behaviour support to pupils.
• Support emotional wellbeing of learners.
• Encourage engagement and focus in lessons.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
