ZEISS Microscopy Cambridge is seeking an Applications Engineer for a 12‑month maternity cover. You will support customers through FAT, provide technical consultation, run demonstrations and deliver training on SEM systems, collaborating with sales, product management and cross‑functional teams to ensure customer success.

You will be the technical expert on ZEISS SEMs, helping customers meet requirements before installation and contributing to ongoing process improvements while traveling

Formación

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Geology or a related scientific discipline preferred.
• Master's degree desirable.
• Bachelor's degree considered alongside relevant industry experience.
• Practical electron microscopy experience may be considered in place of higher academic qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on ZEISS Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM).
• Ensure systems meet quality standards and customer expectations prior to shipment.
• Act as a technical expert for customers, sales teams and product management.
• Support customer demonstrations, sample validation activities and feasibility studies.
• Deliver customer training on microscopy systems where required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support the continuous improvement of acceptance testing processes and work instructions.
• Provide technical guidance and applications expertise across a range of customer projects.
