Job summary

Red Personnel Ltd. is seeking a friendly and proactive Customer Sales Advisor for a busy Erdington self-storage site in Birmingham. You will greet visitors, handle enquiries, advise on unit sizes and pricing, and convert interest into rentals, while delivering excellent customer service from day one.

You don’t need storage experience as full training is provided. The role offers daytime hours 9:30am–6:00pm, one weekend in three, and a supportive small team with clear opportunities to progress

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales is helpful but not essential.
• Good basic Maths and English; an assessment will form part of the interview.
• Confidence speaking to customers face-to-face and on the phone.
• Friendly, outgoing and approachable manner.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work well in a small team.
• Reliability and flexibility to work one weekend in every three.

Responsibilities

• Be the main face of the site, greeting customers in person and handling inbound calls and emails.
• Advise on unit sizes, pricing, and availability, and convert enquiries into rentals.
• Conduct site tours, explain security features, and guide customers through the sign-up process.
• Process new rentals, promote add-ons, and maintain accurate records.
• Handle cash/card payments, issue receipts, and reconcile end-of-day takings.
• Support general site administration and work with Site/Regional Manager to hit targets.
