Job summary

Melody Care is seeking experienced self-employed Live-in Carers for assignments in Hampshire and Surrey. Role focuses on compassionate, person-centered support in clients' homes, matching each assignment to carers’ skills and availability.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, nutrition, personal care, and essential domestic tasks, while maintaining client dignity and independence. Training and DBS checks are required, with ongoing support from Melody Care.

Qualifications

• DBS check (Enhanced Adult Only) on update service preferred.
• Self-employed Live-in Carer status required.
• Required training before placement: Moving and Handling; Basic Life Support / First Aid; Medication; Safeguarding; Infection Prevention Control; Mental Health Capacity / MCA & DoLs; Food Safety; Diet Fluid and Nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (getting up, dressing, washing, grooming).
• Meal preparation and serving, nutrition monitoring.
• Toilet assistance, continence management, boundaries of care.
