Job summary

Medicare People is looking for caring and committed Live-in Carer (Self Employed) in Littlehampton to provide personalised support to individuals within their own homes. This rewarding position gives you the opportunity to deliver one-to-one care, helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing while remaining in familiar surroundings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months UK care experience.
• Friendly, caring and supportive nature.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confident supporting clients in their own homes.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Flexible approach to care and changing needs.
• Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Commitment to dignity, respect and person-centred care.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience administering medication is desirable.
• Previous live-in care experience welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care in a home-based setting.
• Support washing, dressing and personal grooming.
• Encourage independence wherever possible.
• Provide companionship and help reduce loneliness.
• Assist with mobility and safe movement around the home.
• Prepare meals and support healthy eating habits.
• Administer medication safely.
• Keep the home clean, tidy and safe.
• Help with shopping and collecting essentials.
• Record important information in care notes.
• Report changes in wellbeing promptly.
• Work as part of a wider care and support network.
