Reed Wellbeing is seeking a Self-Employed Health & Wellbeing Coach to deliver NHS Healthier You programmes across Greater Manchester. You’ll run group and one-to-one sessions, engaging participants to make sustainable lifestyle changes, with sessions paid at £50 per 90 minutes.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and access to your own vehicle with a UK driving licence are essential; 12–20 hours per week are expected, with formal recruitment underway as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Exercise Referral, Health Improvement/Promotion/Public Health, Nutrition & Weight Management, Coaching & Behaviour Change, or Education & Training.
• Evidence of training, qualification, or assessed competence in behaviour change delivery, aligned with recognised frameworks (e.g. COM‑B, Behaviour Change Wheel, motivational interviewing or health coaching approaches).
• Fully First Aid trained, with a valid certificate.

Responsabilités

• Deliver NHS Healthier You Programme sessions to participants in group and/or one-to-one settings, in accordance with curriculum, resources and quality standards.
• Motivate, support, and empower participants to make sustainable lifestyle and behaviour changes using evidence-based coaching techniques.
• Adapt session delivery to meet diverse needs and learning styles, creating an inclusive environment to encourage participation.
• Monitor participant progress, conduct regular reviews, and celebrate achievements while identifying additional support needs.
• Signpost participants to local health, wellbeing and lifestyle services where required.
• Participate in training, professional development, and quality improvement activities to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to support continuous improvement of programme delivery and outcomes.
