Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation in Stevenage or Bristol is seeking a Systems Performance Modelling Engineer contractor for a 12-month assignment. The role requires modelling the seeker RF radar in Matlab/Simulink, producing auto-code, and integrating with the missile dynamics model.

Onsite work is required with a potential 4-day week. You will develop, verify, and upgrade models, document changes, and create test vectors.

Qualifications

Modelling of seeker radar in Matlab/Simulink to support auto-code generation.
Ability to evaluate algorithms within the model and adapt for production code.
Experience converting algorithms into a Simulink representation is desirable.
Familiarity with radar, control systems and DSP is advantageous.
RF experience and basic C programming are useful assets.
Strong technical report writing and model delivery skills.

Responsibilities

Modelling in Matlab and Simulink using model-based design techniques.
Produce parts of a complex Seeker model including target scenario and processor algorithms.
Develop and implement algorithms within the model.
Produce and verify auto-code for software algorithms from the model.
Carry out seeker performance assessment and create test vectors.
