Job summary

Wilson James is hiring a Security Officer for a permanent role based in North West London. Shifts are 4 on, 4 off, 07:00–19:00, at £15.71 per hour. You will lead security staff, manage incident responses, and maintain rigorous reporting and handovers.

You may work at multiple client sites as needed to support operations. The role requires a current DS & CCTV SIA Licence, strong leadership, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• To hold a current DS & CCTV SIA Licence.
• A highly detail-oriented approach is essential for effective traffic and security monitoring.
• Proven experience in leading a team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, yet integrate into a security team.
• Experience in high-traffic, customer-facing environments and dealing with diverse stakeholders.
• Openness to adopting new technologies including AI.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site security staff on shift implement procedures correctly.
• Rotate officers across shifts to maintain consistency of service.
• Provide first line response to incidents, fires, and safety issues.
• Respond to alarms promptly and record reports on time.
• Be familiar with emergency evacuation procedures at all locations.
• Maintain daily occurrence logs with high detail and accuracy.
• Handover information and equipment effectively between shifts.
• Operate internal security patrols to delineate secure areas.
• Protect premises and personnel from theft or damage; check locks and perimeter.
