Job summary

National Gas is seeking an Integrated Security Solutions (ISS) Installation Engineer to deploy, commission and support CCTV, access control and intruder systems across the UK. You will translate designs into high-quality installations, manage cabling and networked devices, and troubleshoot live environments in a field-based role.

The role requires experience with security technologies, IP-based networks, and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

Experience installing and maintaining CCTV and automated access control systems.
Experience working with electrical systems and interpreting technical drawings/plans.
Strong understanding of integrated physical security technologies and IP-based systems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and commission CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and other security systems across National Gas sites.
Turn security designs into practical installations meeting operational requirements.
Deliver cabling, device installation, and networked security solutions.
Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and support upgrades to keep systems reliable.
Assess site readiness, power needs, and installation requirements for safe delivery.
Collaborate with project teams and security engineers to deliver outcomes.
Maintain accurate asset, configuration, and installation records.
