Job summary

Get Staff is seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to cover the South‑East. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining, fault‑finding and installing CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems across education sites with a company vehicle and self‑employed status.

You will travel across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London and surrounding counties, performing service reports and ensuring high standards of safety. Full UK driving licence required and Enhanced DBS check may be needed.

• Occasionally work on Fire Alarm and Automatic Gate systems with training provided.

Security Systems Engineer – South‑East England – Full Time – Self Employed

Full‑time, permanent self‑employed opportunity with a company vehicle. Annual earnings of £50,000 – £60,000. Monday to Friday, 8:00a.m. – 4:30p.m. Overtime available. Training provided on Fire Alarm and Automatic Gate systems where required. Long‑term opportunity with an established security company covering a variety of commercial and educational sites across the South‑East.

Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join an established security company covering the South‑East. This role primarily involves working within public and private education settings, carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installations across a range of electronic security systems.

Role & Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault‑find, and repair CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Install CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems when required.
• Cover customer sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London, Essex and surrounding counties.
• Work predominantly within public and private education settings.
• Complete service reports and associated paperwork accurately.
• Occasionally work on Fire Alarm and Automatic Gate systems, with training provided if required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience servicing and maintaining CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Experience with manufacturers such as Hikvision, Avigilon, Dahua, Texecom, Galaxy, Honeywell, Paxton, Salto, Advanced, Protec and Gent is advantageous.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Willingness to travel across the South‑East.
• Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
