Job summary

GET Staff are recruiting an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join their Northamptonshire-based team. The role covers commercial installations across Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire, including installation, servicing, fault finding and commissioning of electronic security systems such as intruder alarms, CCTV and access control for a diverse client base.

You'll work a 40-hour week, 8:30am–5:30pm, with optional weekend overtime and an on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and commissioning skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A reliable, customer-focused engineer who enjoys working independently.

Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing, fault-finding, and commissioning of electronic security systems.
• Reactive maintenance and repairs on customer sites.
• Working with Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
• Covering Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire, with occasional travel further afield when required.
• Participating in a rotational on-call schedule, with minimal call outs (most issues resolved remotely).
• Approximately 80% of work will be commercial, with remaining 20% domestic/residential.
