Job summary

De Montfort University is seeking a highly motivated Security Systems Administrator to join our team on the Leicester campus. The role focuses on maintaining Salto Space access control, Avigilon CCTV, Traka key management, and related security systems to support safe university operations.

You will work closely with the Security team to ensure the Security Control Room runs at optimum level and that all procedures comply with UK Protect Duty requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience administering or supporting security systems such as access control, CCTV, or key management.
• Knowledge of security incident management processes and reporting.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions.
• Comfort with databases, software applications, and network-connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer Salto Space access control system and issue staff IDs.
• Keep physical electronic locks up to date and powered.
• Administer Avigilon CCTV and electronic key systems.
• Assist with security incident management system and security radio system.
• Support Estates Digital Transformation and implement upgrades to existing systems.
