Job description

PAY RATE:

£13.65 per hour

HOURS:

4 on 4 off 12:00-00:00

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team. The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the security operations and ensuring the safety of our premises, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security procedures, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations with calmness and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure the premises are secure.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to any suspicious activities or incidents.
  • Train security staff on emergency response procedures.
  • Investigate security breaches or incidents and provide detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company Managing the CCTV and emergency systems on site.
  • Assisting the ground team with camera support and reviewing of footage.
  • Dealing with incidents, customer service, contractors, staff and customer security checks.
  • Supporting Patrols, Back of House Patrols, Shop Units & Escalator Checks along with any ad-hoc duties as directed by the Security Manager or the Client.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the assignment instructions.
  • To be aware of the obligations under the Health and Safety regulations concerning their own safety, that of their colleagues and tenants and deter unauthorised personnel from gaining access to the Centre.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience as a Security Supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and best practices
  • Experience in surveillance techniques and CCTV operation.
  • Familiarity with first aid and emergency response procedures.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence and CCTV License
  • Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:
  • Eligibility documents helpful to bring with you to interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months

  • You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits).
