Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security Supervisor to join our facilities team on a permanent basis at Royal Bolton Hospital. The role suits an experienced security professional who can work independently as well as with colleagues to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

You will lead security staff, respond to alarms, deter and resolve incidents, liaise with emergency services, and provide clear reports to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for security issues.
• Manage security guards to provide the best possible experience for patients, visitors and staff.
• Monitor and coordinate the reaction to alarm activations.
• Provide reports and monitoring information as required to produce performance reports.
• Carry out a full range of security duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective communication links through radio, bleep systems and proper terminology.
• Lock and alarm departments and external doors and gates per lockdown procedures.
• Assist in the search for missing patients and liaise with local police if necessary.
• Maintain scene of crimes when applicable.
• Provide a first point of contact for fire brigade and emergency ambulance service.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. This position is well-suited to an experienced officer who can work alone as well as part of a team, and is looking to gain experience within a healthcare setting.

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have good negotiation skills and possess a customer focussed approach. This role is subject toEnhancedDBS disclosure.

• To act as the first point of contact for any security related issues.
• To manage the staff employed as security guards to provide the best possible
• experience for all users (patients, visitors, and staff).
• To monitor and coordinate the reaction to any alarm activations.
• To provide reports and monitoring information as required to produce performancereports.

• Maintain effective communication links through the correct use of radio, bleep systems and correct terminology.

• Maintain any scene of crimes.
• Provide a first point of contact for fire brigade and emergency ambulance service
