V7 Recruitment seeks an experienced Security Engineer to install, commission and maintain electronic security systems across the North West (Manchester and surrounding areas). The role covers CCTV (IP and analogue), access control, intruder alarms, and intercom/door entry systems with on-site responsibilities and client liaison.

The ideal candidate has proven installation/commissioning experience, reads technical drawings, holds a full UK driving licence, and can work independently with strong

• Proven experience in installation and commissioning of electronic security systems.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV (IP networking), access control, and intruder alarm systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electronic security systems including CCTV systems (IP and analogue), access control, intruder alarms, and intercom/door entry systems.
• Carry out system commissioning and testing to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair faults on existing security systems.
• Produce accurate commissioning documentation and site reports.
• Work from technical drawings, specifications, and site plans.
• Ensure all work complies with current industry standards and health & safety regulations.
• Provide on-site technical support to clients and end users.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and project teams.
• Participate in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electronic security systems including:
