V7 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join our North West team (Manchester and surrounding areas). You will install, commission, and maintain CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will read technical drawings, diagnose faults, and provide on-site support while maintaining documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of electronic security systems.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV (IP networking) , access control, and intruder alarm systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electronic security systems including CCTV systems (IP and analogue), access control, intruder alarms, intercom and door entry systems.
• Carry out system commissioning and testing to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair faults on existing security systems.
• Produce accurate commissioning documentation and site reports.
• Work from technical drawings, specifications, and site plans.
• Ensure all work complies with current industry standards and health & safety regulations.
• Provide on-site technical support to clients and end users.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and project teams.
• Participate in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs when required.
