Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our growing team covering Basingstoke, Reading, Oxford, Slough, Woking and West Berkshire. You will install, service and maintain CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems across commercial sites for high-profile clients.

You will work independently on site, manage your workload, and participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota with standby allowance, backed by ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in security system installation, servicing and maintenance.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose faults on complex security systems.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills, with a professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.
• Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs on security equipment.
• Complete small works, upgrades and expansions to systems as required.
• Work across Axis, Hanwha, Galaxy, Texecom and Paxton platforms.
• Manage your workload and complete on-site work independently with support from the engineering team.

£40,000 - £47,000 DOE + Overtime + Bonuses + 25 Days Holiday + Company Vehicle

We're looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join a growing and well-established team, covering Basingstoke, Reading, Oxford, Slough, Woking and the wider West Berkshire area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong background in security system installation, servicing, maintenance and small works. You'll work across a varied portfolio of commercial sites and high-profile clients, with a company that invests in its engineers and provides the equipment, training and support needed to progress.

The Role

As a Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and small works of electronic security systems across a range of commercial and private client sites.

• Installing, servicing and maintaining CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems.
• Carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Completing small works, upgrades, modifications and system expansions.
• Working with systems including Axis, Hanwha, Galaxy, Texecom and Paxton.
• Supporting a range of high-profile commercial clients, including business parks, commercial premises and private estates.
• Completing service documentation and ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard.
• Managing your own workload and working independently on site, while being supported by an experienced engineering team.
• Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota, with a standby allowance.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer.
• Strong technical experience across CCTV, intruder alarms and/or access control.
• Solid installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with Axis, Hanwha, Galaxy, Texecom and Paxton would be advantageous.
• A professional, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A genuine interest in developing your technical skills and progressing within the security industry.
