Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Security Operations Manager at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, to lead a high‑performing security function at a key national defence facility. You’ll manage a multidisciplinary team, build trusted customer relationships and align security delivery with contractual and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating within security, defence, government or similarly regulated environments.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with strategic customers and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced operational settings.
• Direct people management experience within a matrix organisation.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of contract and business management principles.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of physical, personnel and contract security operations across the site.
• Managing a team of security professionals, providing leadership, direction and operational oversight.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic customers and key stakeholders.
• Supporting high-priority business and facilities projects by providing security expertise and guidance.
• Ensuring the site meets contractual, regulatory and government security obligations.
