Job summary

G-Research in London offers a Security Operations internship from July 2027 to July 2028. You’ll investigate security alerts, support threat intel, detection engineering and forensics, and be paired with a mentor to guide your learning in a fast-moving enterprise environment.

Based in Central London, the role provides hands-on exposure across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes and cloud environments, with responsibilities to triage incidents and collaborate with senior engineers as you grow your cyber

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in Cyber Security degree with placement year; graduating in 2029.
• Strong interest in cyber security and solid technical foundation.
• Predicted 2:1 or above.
• Excellent communication and ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for cyber security matters within the business.
• Investigating security alerts across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Leading the triage and coordination of security incidents raised across the organisation.
• Conducting threat hunting across a large, centralised data lake.
• Using threat intelligence to enhance and tune detection capabilities.
• Working with an interface backed by SIEM tools from Azure, Elastic and AWS.
