We seek a SOC Analyst to work on fast-moving, innovative, and influential projects in the Defence and Security Sector. The role is challenging, technically diverse, and highly interesting.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Leading shifts in a 24/7 SOC Service Delivery environment
• Providing oversight and management to Junior Analysts
• Monitoring systems for security alerts, intrusions, or unauthorized activities
• Responding to incidents using established playbooks
• Escalating complex incidents to Tier 2 Incident Response Teams
• Reviewing and developing security controls in a growing technical environment
• Triaging vulnerability reports and providing feedback to technical teams
• Reviewing secure configurations and coordinating remediations
• Generating security and service reports for stakeholders
• Suggesting service improvements to the SOC Manager
• Staying updated on security threats and trends
• Researching and developing security expertise

Experience (Essential)

• Previous experience in Security, SOC, or related technical fields, with focus on Vulnerability Management
• Relevant cybersecurity qualifications (e.g., CompTIA, ISACA)
• Technical skills in cloud computing, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning/Management, etc.

Understanding of key concepts such as:

• Cloud Computing
• Security Incident Management
• Information Security (CIA)
• Threats like Phishing and Ransomware
• IDAM (Identity and Access Management)
• JML Processes
• Security Awareness
• Information Classification

Experience (Nice to have)

• Experience managing or mentoring Junior Analysts
