While experience in a similar role is beneficial, we welcome applications from graduates or those with IT backgrounds such as service desk and desktop engineers seeking a new career path.

What will you be doing?

• Monitor and manage IT and Security incidents.
• Investigate and resolve cybersecurity events, collaborating with the SOC team.
• Conduct root cause investigations of security events and escalate when necessary.
• Support stakeholders to enhance PayPoint's security posture.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern (4 days on, 4 days off).

What would we like from you?

• Passion for IT and an interest in Cyber Security.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server OS (2012-2019), Microsoft Office 365, and Windows Server Services (DHCP, DNS, AD).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

It would be great if you already have…

• Experience working in a 24/7 rota within IT or Security.
• Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance.
• Scripting skills, especially with PowerShell and Bash.
• Familiarity with tools like zScaler, Solarwinds, Crowdstrike, Splunk.
• Experience with batch automation, Linux, and Azure.
• Knowledge of SIEM tools.
• Experience in Event Analysis, Triage, Incident Handling, and Root-Cause analysis.
