Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Security Officer to join our Eye site in Suffolk. The role operates on a rotating schedule (4 on, 4 off) with 42 hours per week, including day and night shifts.

You will patrol, monitor security systems, report incidents and maintain site safety and compliance across campus and facilities. Ideal candidates have GCSE level education, prior security experience, strong communication skills, proficient PC abilities, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent education required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services and effectively lead during crisis situations.
• Patrol campus and buildings, monitoring for conditions or situations which pose a risk to the safety/security of people and/or property or are in violation of company policy.
• Report and take immediate action upon observation or awareness of situations posing a risk to Labcorp business, property or personnel.
• Ensure the integrity and proper operating condition of all installed security systems and reporting abnormal conditions to Supervisor.
• Document and report all daily activities and incidents in the Security Reporting Database.
• Monitor PC based monitoring systems and electronic equipment at Security Station (e.g. CCTV, access control, environmental systems, fire alarm) and document study-related data.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance and verify authorization for access to facilities; check for contraband.
