Job summary

M&S in Wallasey is seeking a Security Officer to create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues. You will be a visible presence, helping customers and protecting people, products, and the store.

In this role you’ll stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism and use store technology to support incident management. A proactive, customer-focused attitude is essential to success in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence in store and support customers and colleagues.
• Prevent loss and respond to incidents to keep people and products safe.
• Identify risks and support safe ways of working in the store.
• Utilise store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure during emergencies and incidents.
• Collaborate with store colleagues to maintain high standards and a positive environment.

Security officer - M&S (Simply Food) - Wallasey

Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues.

• Customer service is at the heart of the role. You'll create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers as they start shopping with us, while delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• You'll help keep our stores safe and secure. From preventing loss and responding to incidents, to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, you'll play a key role in protecting the M&S environment.
• Being digitally confident is essential. You'll use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• You'll stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, you'll always act professionally and confidently.

What we're looking for
