Job summary

Maybourne Hotel Group is seeking a Security Officer to join Claridge’s Security team in London. You will safeguard guests and staff, patrol the hotel, and manage access control while maintaining discretion and a professional presence.

The role requires experience in hotel security, excellent communication, and the ability to work as part of a proactive, quality-driven team in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to outstanding guest service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team player with adaptability and learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Protect guests, staff and property, handling security, fire, bomb and health-and-safety matters.
• Carry out hotel patrols during each shift.
• Be fluent with the hotel locking system and correct key control procedures.
• Document and issue visitor/contractor passes; ensure only current employees enter the hotel.
• Be familiar with current fire and bomb threat procedures and comply with directions.
• Assist in drills, alarm tests and staff fire training; spot-check firefighting equipment.
• Know location of firefighting and first-aid equipment.
• Carry out bag searches as appropriate and maintain records in line with procedures.
• Investigate incidents and report to management to ensure appropriate action.
