Job summary

Vistech Services is seeking a permanent Gatehouse Security Officer to cover a busy gatehouse at Tees Dock and an additional site in Staithes. The role requires a valid SIA licence, a driving licence, and flexibility to cover shifts, including weekends.

Overtime is available for sickness and holiday cover. You will work 12-hour shifts (4 on/4 off) with a rolling rota, staying vigilant to protect client sites and report incidents clearly.

Qualifications

• Weighbridge experience advantageous but training will be given.

Security Officer, Gatehouse - Tees Dock

Vistech Services are seeking a permanent Gatehouse Security. Would need to be flexible to cover all shifts when required due to business need. Covering annual leave and sickness of colleagues. Please note you are required to provide cover on site plus an additional site in Staithes (essential). Driving licence essential due to location of the business and shift times. TWO DAYS, TWO NIGHTS, FOUR OFF - INCLUDING WEEKEND WORK! Pay rate £12.96 per hour Contracted to 42 hours per week

Responsibilities and duties

• Assisting with duties inside a busy gatehouse
• Work fantastically as part of a team
• Be flexible with working hours to cover any shifts that are required to be covered
• Be vigilant, always, to ensure security and protection of the customer’s site
• Carry out patrols of site within specified periods
• Deal with any incidents in a timely and professional manner
• Report any incidents that occur clearly and in a timely manner

Qualifications and skills

• Confident in dealing with incidents, in a calm manner, following procedures in place
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Follow assignment instructions to ensure protection of site
• Must have an SIA Licence
• Driver with their own vehicle due to location (preferably in local area
• Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice
• Weighbridge experience advantageous but not essential as full training will be given
• IT Literate

Job information:

• Usual shift pattern would be 12 hr shifts working 4 on 4 off on a rolling rota
• Working shift patterns when required to cover any unallocated shifts including weekends
• Overtime will be available for sickness / holiday cover
• P.T.S Certification provided by employer
• Regular drug tests are undertaken, one must be passed prior to employment
