Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Security Officer in Wick, Scotland on a permanent, zero-hours basis. The role involves welcoming staff and visitors, patrolling premises, monitoring CCTV and access points, and promptly responding to alarms and incidents.

You will produce detailed reports and assist in evacuations when needed. Ideal candidates hold a current DS SIA Licence with proven security experience, strong observational and communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while

Qualifications

• Current DS SIA Licence required.
• Proven security experience in a similar role.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes staff and visitors and maintains a safe atmosphere.
• Conducts regular patrols and monitors premises to deter unauthorised access, theft or vandalism.
• Monitors access points, CCTV and security procedures.
• Responds to alarms, emergencies and security incidents and takes appropriate action.
• Completes detailed daily activity and incident reports.
• Assists in evacuations and first aid where required.
• Adapts to different client sites.
• Responds calmly and confidently to incidents.
• Works as part of a diverse, supportive team.
