Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Security Officer for a 4 on 4 off schedule at Culham, working full-time hours from 07:00 to 19:00. The role involves guarding premises, patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and responding to emergencies, with reporting duties and team collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold a current DS SIA Licence, with proven security experience and strong observation, communication, and calm decision-making under pressure. Nights, weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents with appropriate action.
• Completing detailed daily activity and incident reports.

About the Role:

• Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
• Conducting regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites - no two days are the same
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What we are looking for:

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
