Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking a Security Officer with CCTV and SIA licensing to protect staff and visitors on a prestigious NHS contract in the West Midlands. This on-site role requires a professional, calm, and proactive presence to maintain a safe environment.

You will join a team dedicated to high standards, training, and progression, with opportunities to grow within a supportive security group.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and hold an SIA Door Supervision licence.
• CCTV Licence and UK manual driving licence required.
• Strong customer-service mindset and calm decision making.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers, patients, and staff as a first point of contact.
• Ensure safety and security of colleagues and customers at the site.
• Be proactive, approachable, and a visible security presence.
• Respond to incidents calmly, manage situations, and escalate when needed.
• Escort patients, locate missing individuals, and assist with traffic flow.
• Perform car park checks, drive duties, and cash handling as required.

Previous experience in security is great, but if you’ve only recently got your SIA licence that’s fine. What’s just as important is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We will provide all the training andsupport you need to succeed. Our goal is to help you to become a valued member of the Carlisle team.

Your core responsibilities will include

• Offering guidance, information, and a friendly face as a first point of contact for customers including members of the public, patients and staff.
• Ensuring the safety and security of colleagues and customers, providing a sense of assurance.
• Being a smart, approachable, and proactive presence as a security representative.
• Managing and responding to incidents including challenging situations effectively while remaining calm under pressure.
• Building strong relationships as part of a supportive and professional team.
• Escorting patients and ensuring their safety.
• Locating and assisting with missing patients.
• Responding to fire, intruder, and panic alarms.Providing security escorts and managing traffic flow.Conducting car park checks and maintaining equipment.Handling and delivering cash securely.Performing driving duties as required.
