This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. Cerebral Security Solutions Ltd is currently recruiting a security officer who must either have a \"Door Supervisor or Security Licence\".

You will be required to work in Midsomer Norton, 4 on 4 off shift pattern days.

As a security officer you will be an essential part of the team, demonstrating a high level of appreciation for customer care and safety.

The position is one of responsibility for general health and safety and customer service. The strict fulfilment of safeguarding, fire regulations and committing to businesses policies are paramount to the position, as well as a firm basis in public relations and assisting in dealing with difficult people and situations.

The Candidate Must

• Possess an SIA front line Door Supervisor or security licence
• Be able to build a rapport with clients
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
• Provide a 5-year checkable work history
• Have good observation skills
• Be able to defuse heated or violent situations in a calm and rational way

Key Tasks Include

• Providing a professional and friendly welcome
• Liaising with clients, customers and colleagues
• Acting as a point of customer support and handling incidents inside and outside of the site, venue or event
• Providing a security presence to ensure the safe running of the site, venue or event whilst enhancing the customer experience
• Patrol inside and outside the site, venue or event
• Watching people’s behavior and dealing with conflict
• Deal with emergencies
• Co-operating with emergency services and management
• Providing first aid assistance
• Writing incident reports and complete other documentation in a clear concise way.
• To check and make sure fire exits are not obstructed and operational
• To be able to maintain an accurate log of the number of customer and staff in the venue or event
• To supervise the evacuation of staff and customer in the event of a fire
• To check all areas or the site, venue or event to make sure all hazards are dealt with appropriately
• To be able to use a two-way radio correctly
• To be able to operate CCTV, intruder and fire alarms

This by no means is an extensive list, and you may be required to undertake other duties within and outside your role.
