Job summary

Savills Company in Dorchester is seeking a Security Officer to join the core security team at Brewery Square. You will conduct foot patrols, monitor CCTV, and provide pro-active reporting while maintaining site integrity out of hours.

You will handle visitor enquiries, support the centre manager on ad hoc tasks, manage the car park, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies. Strong English communication and integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-year checkable employment record.
• Valid and Active SIA Licence – Security Guarding or Door Supervisor.
• First Aid Qualified.
• Good English written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and grounds as assigned, including the car park.
• Lead on meter readings on behalf of tenants.
• Be the first point of contact for visitors and staff during shifts.
• Monitor CCTV and report security or safety incidents.
• Enforce Health and Safety policies on site and complete incident reports.
• Provide high levels of customer service to tenants and the public.
• Support the security manager with ad hoc tasks and contractor checks.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

To form part of the core security team for Brewery Square to support the smooth running of the site. Maintaining the integrity of the site out of hours. Conducting foot patrols, monitoring CCTV, pro active reporting. Assist with any emergency situation that occur. To support the centre manager with any adhoc tasks as and when required. Handle any enquires and customer service requirements from the client/tenants and public. To prevent and deter any would be criminality.

Key Responsibilities

• To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment
• To undertake patrols of the buildings in line with the assignment instructions
• Lead on meter readings on behalf of tenants
• To be the first point of contact for any visitors or staff when the attend site throughout your shift
• To manage the car park access and egress
• To carry out any other duties in accordance with instructions issued by the security manager, client, or RFM
• To fully comply and enforce the Health and Safety policy on site
• Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the daily occurrence log and escalated accordingly with all relevant incident reports completed
• Ensure good levels of customer service
• To take a proactive approach in regard to the day to day on goings of site, including but not limited to, contractor management, defect reporting, checks of the site & general reporting.
• To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company

Qualifications and experience:

Essential:

Working hours - 48 hrs per week / Salary £13.50 p/h
